Preamble
Office for International Affairs of DMIHER(DU) strives to make international students’ study & stay at the campus as comfortable as possible. OIA is the single point of contact for all activities ranging from admissions to immigration, internship to externship, housing to browsing, personal to professional and academic to administrative support during their study tenure and beyond while staying in India away from their home country to a different demography among the students of different culture & background.Objectives of the Cell
- Ensuring that internationalization activities contribute in accord with the university’s strategic objectives.
- Growing DMIHER(DU)’s profile as a research & innovation led, global university.
- Striving for the integration of the global and local to add value to both with international activities enhancing student life and staff development at DMIHER(DU), where incoming international students and staff being integrated into the local environment.
- Performing a consultative and facilitation role in assisting the international students community with departmental, faculty, institutional linkages and peer-to-peer communication within the DMIHER(DU) framework.
- Providing specialised support services for international students and applicants.
- Developing and promoting the concept of “internationalising from local to global” and ensuring that the entire DMIHER(DU) community benefits from the growing internationalization of DMIHER(DU).
- Seeking, supporting and facilitating opportunities for DMIHER(DU) staff and students to experience a holistic academic & cultural life at international partner institutions through mobility exchanges.

Admission & Support Process
- An international candidate has to fill the Application Form & submit all the required credentials for eligibility verification to the OIA at international@dmiher.edu.in
- Once the student is found eligible in a particular program, OIA generates the Eligibility Offer Letter for the candidate and share it through its registered email for their acceptance.
- Once student accepts the offer, they must register with paying one-time non-refundable enrolment fee within the stipulated admission time frame to confirm their provisional admission.
- After the initial payment, applicants need to share the proof of payment via registered email to OIA international@dmiher.edu.in
- Once the payment confirmation received and verified, OIA will issue the Provisional Admission Letter and Visa Invitation Letter (wherever applicable) and sends them to the applicant as well as Indian Mission in the respective country where students belong to for the purpose of pre-arrival process.
- After confirmation of admission, OIA organise Pre-arrival and Post-arrival orientation program virtually and physically (wherever possible) to guide with all regulatory information to help the international students ready and familiar with regional and national rules, culture & diversity.
- After arrival OIA provides its continuous handholding support starting from airport pickup to hostel arrangement, FRO/FRRO registration assistance, Visa & Passport renewal and extension assistance, and all other academic, extra-curricular activity-based services.
